Peanut Butter. Peanut butter is rich and flavorful and a super healthy food to eat when trying to lose weight. With its amazing weight loss and energy boosting capabilities, peanut butter can satisfy your hunger and keep you energized throughout the day. Spread some on a celery sticks and add raisins if you like, or make a peanut butter and banana smoothie, with almond milk and bananas.




Bananas. Bananas are not only known to be an extremely healthy food great to grab for on the go or eat before the gym; but are also very tasty and help to ward off hunger through the day. Bananas are full of potassium – which promotes energy. If you’re not putting them in a smoothie, add them to some almond milk and oats for a yummy, but healthy dish






Oatmeal. Oatmeal is high in fiber and fiber takes a while to digest. Because of this, oatmeal makes a nutritious breakfast that will keep you energized until lunch time! Oatmeal is definitely on top of the list when it comes to talking about a healthy food to eat, especially when your in a rush to get out of the house in the morning. Make sure you choose the plain all natural oatmeal, not the different flavored ones, that would totally defeat the purpose of creating a healthy diet plan since their packed with sugar. Top off you oatmeal with blueberries or strawberries for extra flavor.






Hummus. Hummus is loaded with protein and fiber which is one of the reason it is considered to be such a healthy food. Make a delicious lunch that the whole office will be jealous of by creating a pita bread sandwich – complete with hummus and sprouts. The fiber in the beans of the hummus will keep you full and energized until you get home for dinner.






Salmon. Salmon is one of my favorite pieces of fish and its not even a question that experts suggest adding this to your meal plan for a healthy diet filled with nutrients. This superfood is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, the good kind of fat, which are a vital part in a healthy diet. Salmon is known as a ‘brain food’ because it’s fatty acids boost mood and ward off depression. Salmon is also incredibly good for the heart…and your skin! You definitely cant argue the fact that it is an extremely healthy food. Its an easy dish to prepare for dinner, one that the whole family will love! Simply place in a baking pan with olive oil and salt, cover with foil and bake for 15mins at 425. Serve with vegetables, brown rice, or a sweet potato.








Kale. Kale contains the amino acid L-tyrosine, which provides mental boost. Kale also contains a lot of antioxidants that will keep your blood sugar stabilized and your mood lifted. Chopped kale salad makes a great side dish for dinner, or a great snack in between meals if you add some type of protein.






Almonds. Almonds contain vitamin B and other vitamins that help convert the food you eat into energy. Bring along a plastic baggie with some almonds to work to snack on throughout the day. Top some frozen Greek yogurt with almonds for a dessert that’s healthy, delicious, and definitely accepted as part of a healthy diet

A nutrition plan consisting of healthy food is the only way to go! Fitness is a way of life, once you get into the routine of eating healthy and working out; you wont be able to fathom how you lived without it before. Our bodies are precious, and the last thing we should be doing is treating our stomach like a garbage can. What you put into your body effects so much more than just your physical appearance.
